Just experimenting with ArtRage 2.5 Starter Edition. Nice program, feels more "authentic" than Corel Painter, like I'm actually using media (and the oil brush is far more manageable).
This isn't a style I get to exhibit so often because Photoshop isn't so good at reproducing "scumbing", but I love the effect of rubbing chalk or pastel on flat color and looking through the little dots to the color below. It's like sporadic dotted glazing and I can see the underpainting beneath.

There's tons of anatomy problems with this, but really I just wanted to play with color. So yeah.
