For some reason, that single vehicle reflected in the hub cap of this 1936 Hudson Terraplane Pickup caught my eye more than the Terraplane itself. Then, the photographer didn’t even bother to note what the heck it was. Oh well!

You and Cabcat are both right. One of Hudson's selling points was the Terraplane's streamlined, road-holding ability. And the line Cabcat posted is the right version. It was one of their catchphrases in print ads from then too.
My favourite Terraplane slogan was :
"what do you call traveling on the water...? HYDROPLANING !!"
"what do you call traveling in the air...? AEROPLANING !!"
"And what do you call traveling on land...? " TERRAPLANING!!"
