Kifaru is a big, powerful heavily muscled male hyena, with bold striping. He keeps his mane clipped short, as well as any hair on his hands and forearms that hasn't already been singed off by the forge. He rarely wears anything more than a protective buffalo hide apron, though he has a set of war armor, of lion and rhino skin, that he hopes to never have to wear.
Calm, patient, extremely rational, quietly confident and diplomatic in all of his interactions with both clan members and foreigners of all species, his is often the only voice of reason that his volatile mate and leader M'sasi will listen to. Usually his intimidating size and deep commanding voice is enough to prevent conflicts from escalating, which suits his peaceful nature just fine, but he is skilled with the weapons he makes, when fighting becomes necessary or unavoidable.
