Just on the other side of the mountains from another character is the bandit cat, Leone, sitting under a tree high up on the mountain side.
This picture took a long while to finish, I started it a day ago and spent the whole day working on the background, just to end up scrapping the coloring. I first tried to color this the same way I did with my previous submission (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3236535) to only find it to be too blurry and lifeless compared to my character. When I restarted today I decided to try for more line art in the background and less focus on the whole watercolor look. I think it definitely paid off, though I still have a long ways to go.
As for Leone, I think I'm going to go with this costume design and style, hope you all like it though. Enjoy.

Wow, both the character and the background look amazing! ^^ I love how the different elements almost create different stripes - from the pink tree canopy overhead, then to the azure sky, silver mountains, and then the green ground (on which the detail of the roots and rocks is perfect). The touch of mist is well done too - accentuates her hunkered-down pose, as if she's leaning forward while sitting to try to avoid the wind. Another great professional-RPG-level illustration! ^^
