I always enjoy working with
rebelsqurlwith his character, Diana. I wonder what she's thinking about? Perhaps her next adventure? Flying in the clouds? I love love LOVE drawing tree trunks/branches, especially twisted ones (and I don't often work with trees, so it brings joy to my heart when someone asks for a tree lol). IThis is an example of a flat-colored commission. I took the liberty of adding some highlights here and there (hopefully Reb doesn't mind?). 've also always wanted to try out backgrounds, and was heavily inspired by studiobrun's work for the forest background. I also HIGHLY recommend
skiaskai's art tutorials on their Patreon. Supporting them was a GREAT decision, because I not only learned a lot, but feel my art and shading have improved. Still a lot to learn for sure, but I at least understand more now!

Thanks so much for drawing Diana for me, Cali! She looks terrific with the (wonderful!) highlights that help her "pop" a bit out of the background, and all the subtle hues of brown and tan create a gentle glow of sunset that really sets the mood for the piece. I love it!
