I still haven’t gotten over the fact that the Archie comics came to an end recently, and I am still praying to the high heavens that a bunch of my favorite characters make the jump over the new IDW series coming next year. (C’mon Ian Flynn, C’mon Freedom Fighters) but now isn’t the time or place to get into any of that.
So instead of monologuing about what could have been and what could be, I’ll just keep having fun drawing one of my favorite characters. Lupe Wolf got a bit of a redesign recently. She went from Amazon mother figure extraordinaire to the latest addition on the youth roster of Freedom Fighters in the blink of an eye. While I was taken aback at first, I did come to take a liking to this version of character just as I did to those that came before her. It’s just that design man, gotta love the Mow-Hawk.
I was just drawing this for practice, so I kept the image simple. Lupe is one of the kids now, and like all Freedom Fighters the games they tend to play can get out of hand very quickly. I like to imagine Lupe as an expert Hunter/Tracker and there is no better game to hunt than a SuperSonic Blue Hedgehog. Cue some inspired trash talking and what started as a friendly game of hide-and-seek has exploded into a cross country chase of seek-and-destroy.
As much as I like my man Blue, my money is on the Wolf. Who packs a doggy bag for a game of hide-and-seek?! Someone who plans on winning that’s who. (Whoo! Dog Pun FTW) That lass has a very particular set of skills. Skills she has acquired over a very long career. Skills that make her a nightmare for people who try to hide.
She will find you.
And she will TAG you.

For all you left wondering while your favorite characters hang in limbo, I fully encourage you to sit down and draw them. It will make you feel better. Plus, in a longshot, someone from IDW might see it and it could serve as the straw that breaks the camel’s back. #U_NVR_KNO
So, this was fun, but I did notice that I subconsciously went with Green Hill Zone as a background for this. In just a few short hours, I’ll be booting up Sonic Mania and blasting through GHZ with my bro.
Everything comes back to Mania. It always does. I think I’m coming down with a touch of the Mania.
Stay back, it’s contagious.

I have an idea for a second sonic comic, but I need the help of all Sonic fans. The idea is called Sonic Legacy. This comic would continue the time line of the Archie comics. Think about it IDW has more control over the sonic property then Archie did, they also have most of the artists and writers from the previous series as well. The point of this second series is not to make a prolong comic that is going to last the next 20 years, but comic that will finish any remaining Arcs that did not get published and to give the fans a much deserved true ending. So this is the plan I need everyone to get this info out there to every sonic youtube channel and website and to tweet Ian Flynn, IDW and SEGA, so they understand there is money to be made here. Let's band together and make this happen, let's get the ending we all deserve from a comic series that ran for almost 25 years. Let's fight for the Knotehole Village Freedom Fighters.
