So, little story with this one.
I have this ongoing Cthulhu roleplay campaign and the players are stuck in a train. Suddenly, they notice a mass of 'birds' flying down towards the train. And I describe, to my own mistake, as a flying napkin that you would hold by an end and bounce up and down.
*Party proceeds to die of laughter when they should be afraid*
I promised I would draw them the creatures to give a better reference of the thing, so I did! I like to make up creatures for my cthulhu campaign to avoid situations where they know exactly what the thing is. Part of the fun of the Lovecraftian world is the fear of the unknown. So we always joke about the actual old one Cthulhu during the games whenever they are near water. But I would say it would be pretty expected to use Cthulhu as an obstacle in the roleplay. So they get the army of kitchen towels instead!
