But yes. He lost vision in his eye during the bombing.
He wasnt in a bomb shelter because he was a silly teenager at the time and went looking for his dog who had spooked. A bomb landed just outside the building he was in causing the windows to shatter. A piece of debris hit him in his right eye. He lost all vision in it but didnt lose the eye itself.
