The recipe is a cake similar to the ones made 2000 years ago in Pomeii.
I wanted to try this cake because it sounded different. And it is!
The cake itself is not very sweet and relies on the honey drizzled on top to make it sweeter, which is why I decided to make smaller cakes rather than one big, large cake.

From the ingredients, it almost sounds like it would taste similar to baklava, once the chopped nuts and honey were added. I might have to experiment with this one myself -- it might pair well with some of the soup dishes I like to make when the weather gets cold.
