What an absolute treat, the tail is beautiful! You did the 'squareness' of it's mass so well, just like the real thing <3 The 'lap' is so lovely I wanna wiggle atop it! It goes without saying the bird and included coils are snug and thick, and the draping over the back of the couch <3
I find that squareness can actually make it easier to draw coils, as it becomes a geometric exercise with a correct solution; easier to maintain volume with corners running along the length like that
And yes, nagas have to be thick at the waist, to avoid the tadpole look, making for a nice lap too~
