In 1937, the Rain Island Radiocast Collective set aside part of its nightly programming for slightly 'adult' fare - adult for the time, that is. A popular vaudeville act known as the Four Fools, who had wanted to break into radio, were signed up for this time slot.

The Fools are Alan (badger), Bobby (marten), Chuck (wolf), and Dexter (fox).
