There's something about it that seems a little different from my other works and I can't quite put my finger on it. Of course it looks better in real life, and if you look closely there's sparkles all over the paper from metallic paint residue on my brushes.
I did find it a little hard to shade the white fur while trying to keep him snowy and not too grey. I also used gauche for the first time, rather than acrylic to add white highlights to make sure they were opaque.

wow this is really well done, his anatomy is great, I like how you have positioned his wings in from his shoulders so the joints don't visually interfere with eachother...always tricky to add that extra joint. and the depth is great between the cliff he is standing on and the structure in the back ground, which looks great, actually it was that structure in the background which first drew me to look at the picture. excellent work all around, and your explanation was also very interesting and informative.
ah you're so good...
it does indeed look different to your other work, but i can't put my finger on it either. perhaps because it's not dark were-wolfy style and it's not jungle princess waterfull style, it's bit white wolf with wings and all greek looking armor/sword/clothing and it's all out in the open on a cliff with clear blue skies and a tribal looking mountain villagey thing..i don't think there's a piece quite like that in the rest of your gallery. and i must say it's stunning =)
and yesh, i don't like drawing white fur/hair either. it is hard to do grey shading without making them too grey or too white! >_<
