That is one of the most awkward bow draws I've ever seen.

OK, here's a person showing really, really good technique. She's not as fat, but note that her body is basically facing at 90 degrees to the direction the arrow is going to go. The panda in the picture is drawing to the center of his chest from a sort of 3/4 view, which only really makes sense if the bowstring is somehow passing through part of his chest, or he's a classic amazon and had a breast amputated. And, yes, I realize she's holding low. It's because she's using a sight. the rest of the posture is basically the same.

I didn't have a composite shortbow like the one in the picture available, so I tried this position with a compound bow of similar proportions, and it allows about 2/3rds of a normal draw. My build is similar to the panda's, in proportion. Shooting like that is gonna be painful, as the bow string is likely to hit you in the gut during your release.
