This was pretty cool. Descriptive, imaginative. But I think what I noticed most of all was you never mentioned the prompt once throughout, and yet I 'saw' it throughout the piece. I dunno, I just find that cool...
Side note: Yours is my favorite strumming icon I've seen yet... I don't know why, but it is...

I suppose I just try and stay away from using the words themselves in any prompt work. Sometimes, I'll go out of my way and ask people to give me a list of completely unrelated nouns and try to build a piece around using them, but since Poetigress' prompts are generally vague, I try and think of what they mean to me before continuing. I'm quite glad someone likes my work ;D

Side note: It's totally the webbed fingers.

Thank you ;D And sometimes I have to stop myself from using repetition, because sometimes it can strengthen a piece, but it can also cause it to sound amateurish and weak. Gotta be careful, especially with a chorus phrase.

Decent poetry, although the theme of rugged world and taming it as a poet or healing it with song was fleeting at best. I'd have liked more detail of the struggle perhaps?
