A fantasy world where magic is channeled through fat. Perhaps it must be channeled from the ground or from nature or whatever source through fat before it can be used, and the bigger you are, the more you can use. Or maybe fat is where mana is stored so the fatter you are the greater your capacity.

It would mean magic is mostly used by the rich who can afford to get fat enough. The protagonist would be from a small farming town who showed great potential, so they work together to get him big so a hero can come from their town.

I’m sure it’s been done but this one will be mine dammit! We all have to put something in the world!
