I thought you all might enjoy a picture of my cat barbarian to start off the new year, and I actually made an attempt at a background too hehheh. I know the shading and highlighting are a bit rough, but it's all in good practice.
Sketched, inked, and colored in OC and credit to

farx for help with the final result.
Hope you all enjoy it.

Yeah, I think so, I still have to finish that other project though.
And thanks, glad you think it came out so well. Gotta give
vdisco credit for the stomach and the pose was referenced off some other pictures. I'm still not skilled enough to do any significant pose without some sort of inspiration.

no seriously, the backgrounds, shading, everything. it saddens me that untalented hacks like tolstoy get more views then you. i mean, this isn't the best fat art i've seen, but it's like da vinci in comparison with some of the stuff you see here or deviantart. great picture nonetheless.
i'm gonna be 20 in 3 weeks, but the internet already makes me feel like a disillusioned old fuck weary of the current state of the world. all the accumulated furfags will look up and say 'wanna yiff?' and i'll look down and whisper 'no'*
*i've only seen the watchmen movie; never read the book.

I know the feeling, but it's also important to note that this internet community, and in reality the majority of the entire casual internet world, are all only select demographics of society. The moment one loses faith in people, they've lost their ability to understand humanity. So don't give up yet, just try to think of it like a workout, strenuous and painful now so everything outside of it can be much easier to handle hehheh.
I wouldn't say that, I know a good load of artists and watchers here and many of them don't think of themselves as anthro and a good deal of those people don't even agree with that idea. Just because we draw certain subject matter does not mean we necessarily believe we're a part of it no more than a video game developer thinks they're a criminal when they make a grand theft auto game.
It's just an over generalization people make because those that do have that belief tend to be either notable or make themselves heard (positively or negatively) while the "normal" people here don't have that need to constantly tell people their beliefs or do not bother making it into an issue.

Hehheh, even if you follow that law you must remember that it's that other 10% that make the world what it is, and the "crud" is the fuel that gets it going. If anything, the worse the internet community gets, the more likely someone will come along and do something about it.
but i hate trolls and if we have more, we'll have less and and uh oh ughf http://i.cr3ation.co.uk/dl/s1/Scann.....lodingHead.gif
Ah... well I admittedly don't read as much on FA as I probably should so I wouldn't really know. but then again... I've had difficulty finding furry stories that can hold my interest like William Dietz, Neal Stephenson, and Elizabeth Moon (I f-ing LOVE the Vatta's War series, it was one of the big influences behind Queen of the Pirates.)
I know a few guys who come close, very close in some cases, but then again anyone who is on the level of the folks I listed above is publishing professionally.
In any case, thank you for the feedback, as off-topic as it is. :P
