Day 2 Part 4
“Ok, I got them,” panted Luxray as he hurried down the stairs of the building. This proved quite difficult for him as he had to carry the Gulping Balls containing Lycanroc and Kangaskhan in one of front legs the whole way down. As he descended the stairs, he kept on stopping to peek out the window to check on things outside. There, he saw the giant Pokemon had gathered, but rather than starting an all-out brawl to level the city they just stood there, conversing. “Hard to tell if them talking is good or bad,” he said to himself. “They aren’t planning to work together, are they? Either way, I’ve gotta move these two somewhere safe while I’ve still got time.”
Hurrying down a few more flights, Luxray managed to reach the lobby. Turning to the exit, his luck of holding onto his two companions, while sprinting, finally ran out and he tripped. The two balls bounced on the ground away from him. Heart sinking from the fear that such a blunder could cause, he cried out to them in a panic. Then, scrambling to his feet, he sprang into action to chase them down. “Get back here!” he shouted at the balls.
“Hmm… What do we have here?” pondered Kimmo-o as he managed to snatch up the balls as they came his way and looked at them curiously. Seeing the big Dragon-Type Pokemon, Luxray kept his distance from him. “Some weird kind of Pokeballs? Are they occupied?”
“Give them back!” cried Luxray. “My friends are in those!”
“Well, isn’t this very… interesting,” he smirked and licked his lips.
“That’s enough now,” Dragonite told him. “We didn’t come here to cause trouble. Now, give him back his friends.”
“I was just messing around a little,” he replied with a disappointed sigh as he returned Luxray’s balls back to him.
“You two aren’t here to eat us?” asked Luxray skeptically.
“We want to put a stop to this game so that nobody is eaten,” explained Dragonite. “Whoever is behind all this, we must stand united and tell them that we will not be used for their amusement.”
“Easier said than done with all those giant Pokemon out there,” pointed out Kimmo-o. “You said that so long as we could all unite we could force them into a stalemate and wait the clock out for them to revert to normal. But, it looks like they’re doing their own negotiations.”
“Negotiations?” pondered Luxray. “Oh, is it about the duration of their gigantism?”
“Then you know about it?” asked Dragonite. “I guess that means one of your friends is either a Fire or a Rock type?”
“Yeah,” he nodded. “He was a giant too till he ate Smeargle. After that, he returned to normal and became insanely stuffed from eating that supersized Pokemon. He couldn’t even budge afterwards and he probably still can’t. Luckily, we got some of these Gulpin Balls. They can catch Pokemon for an hour so, at least, I can move them quickly like this.”
“And what about your other friend?” wondered Kimmo-o. “Why do you need to carry them like this?”
“She’s, uh, still adjusting to all this,” he explained. “Hopefully, she’ll get a grip in time, but, for now, I’m just trying to keep us alive.”
“Then it’d be best to stick with us,” Dragonite told him.
“That’s hardly true anymore,” scoffed Kimmo-o. “Even from here we can figure out what is going on with those giants. They are teaming up so that they can eat us without the risk of just being eaten by the others right after. Staying in a group is only going to help them track us down quicker.”
“Maybe, but it also gives us the best chance we have to fight back,” she pointed. “And, together, we have a much better chance of surviving than being on our own. I just wish I had not left Zangoose and Raticate behind earlier. The giants could possibly plan to vore them if they are unable to find any other Pokemon to eat by an hours end.”
“Then they’re on their own,” stated Kimmo-o. “But seeing as none of the giants have shrunk yet, it likely means they haven’t been consumed yet. So, no sense if worrying about them right now.”
“Yeah,” she nodded. “Come on, we should get moving again. It isn’t safe to stay put in one spot for too long. If we can just last until the giants have shrunk back down, we can figure out our next move from there.”
The sounds of the giant Pokemon outside worried Mawile and the others as they all stared down Slaking, blocking their way out. The big ape grinned, confident that he was the one in control of this situation. “Now, if you don’t want me to alert those giants that we’re all in here, then you’d best do whatever I say.”
“Why should we listen to you?” questioned Mawile. “If you are dumb enough to get their attention then you’d end up eaten as well.”
“Maybe, but if it’d mean I get to help eliminate a bunch of the competition for my sweet Froslass and Primarina then it’d be worth it knowing I’d forever being in their hearts,” he replied still completely unaware they had long been eliminated from the competition.
“And, potentially an Arcanine’s digestive track,” commented Jolteon. “Why are we just standing around here?”
“Technically, you’re hanging around on my back,” pointed out Goodra, before he felt her spikes dig deeper into his body. “Owowowowowo!”
“As I was saying, why are we just standing around here?” she said again with a bit of irritation on her voice.
“I don’t wanna get eaten,” whimpered Raichu. “I haven’t even gotten any pancakes yet.”
“You’re back on this whole pancake thing?” groaned Amphoras.
“I get hungry when I’m nervous,” he admitted tapping his paws together.
“Look, we’re not going to get anywhere just talking,” stated Mawile. “Now, we can either fight to survive or relinquish our fate to that overgrown ape.”
“But if we do fight,” commented Gooda. “We’d just be found out by the giant Pokemon outside and there’s no way we’d be able to fight them.”
“Better than being at this big oaf’s mercy,” she stated.
“Hey! I’m right here,” he reminded them.
“We’ll need to hit him with our strongest attacks,” instructed Mawile, ignoring Slaking. “I’m thinking a full power electric attack from you three might be that.”
“If you are talking about electricity, then can I assume you are including me in this equation?” asked Jolteon. “Cause I can’t do much besides be a needle in this pincushion while I’m like this.”
“A whole bunch of needles,” whimpered Goodra.
“That depends,” replied Mawile. “Can we trust that you won’t betray us if we unstick you?”
“Guess that depends how much you trust me,” she smirked.
“Not a lot,” admitted Mawile, but she grabbed her front legs and pulled her, slowly tugging her body free of the gooiness till she was finally free of Goodra’s back. Both sighed with relief to get that pain off their back. “But just enough to think I might be able to survive.”
“And the rest of us?” asked Amphoras.
“What about the rest of you?” she questioned. “I’m making sure I survive. If any of you want to make it out, you’d best ensure your own safety above anyone else’s. We’re all competition in this game, if you haven’t forgotten.”
“I haven’t,” grinned Jolteon finally able to walk freely again. She took a moment to stretch and limber herself up. “And I’ve got motive to eat all of you, after this little incident. But, for now, my own survival rests with a little cooperation, so let’s deal with this guy now so I can gobble you all up later.”
“You keep dreaming,” retorted Mawile.
“I will,” she nodded as her body sparked, building up power for her attack. “It wets my appetite.”
“If you bunch think you can overpower me,” bellowed Slaking. “Then I’ll just have to show you who’s the stronger mon.”
“Ready, you two?” asked Ampharos as she and Raichu built up their electrical energy alongside Jolteon. Seeing this, the big ape charged at them, as fast as his slow body could move. His heavy stomping was noisy enough to draw the attention of the nearby giant Pokemon.
“What’s that?” wondered Incineroar as he knelt down to listen more carefully.
“Sounds like we’ve found our food,” stated Typhlosion as he licked his lips. “Meaning, I get to eat now.”
“Chu!” “Jolt!” “Whatever sounds I’m supposed to make!” cried the trio as they unleashed their electrical energy all at once at Slaking. The power behind it was enough to even pierce his thick hide and electrify every inch of him. He let out a wail of pain against such an onslaught, his shriek helping the giants draw ever closer to them.
“Keep it up till he’s nice and crispy!” instructed Mawile.
“You think this is easy?” panted Jolteon as her power started to run out, as were the others. “We’re still new at this kinda stuff and I think we’re just about empty.”
“You think it’ll be enough?” hoped Goodra as their attack came to an end and they all stared at Slaking, his hair standing on end, electricity surging out of his body. As he breathed, smoked seeped out of his maw, but for several seconds, he didn’t move any other part of his body. Then, he started to fall forward, making the other’s ready to jump for joy that they KO’ed him. However, he managed to catch himself and remain standing, much to everyone’s horror.
“That stung a lot and now I’m really mad!” he roared and beat his chest.
“Did you hear that?” asked Typhlosion as he and the others perked up their ears to pick up on the sounds Slaking and the others were making.
“Yeah, we’re really close and sounds like there’s some fighting going on,” commented Charizard. “Perhaps we’ve found all the Pokemon we need to vore already.”
“If that’s the case, then it seems this little alliance of ours will be as successful as it will be short,” added Incineroar. “Which is fine in my book. Despite being a cat, I’m not one who likes to play with my food.”
“But we haven’t even got our food yet,” commented Arcanine.
“I was talking about all of you,” he replied to the giant canine.
“Now, who wants a piece of me first?” growled Slaking as he stomped his way towards Mawile and the others.
“That didn’t work,” cried Goodra. “And it sounds like the giants know exactly where we are now. They’re headed right towards us.”
“Then it seems now is as good a time as any to get out of here,” stated Jolteon as she took a few steps forward. Stopping briefly, she turned to the others. “I don’t like to leave things unsettled, so I’d appreciate it if some of you could try to avoid getting eaten till I get another chance to do it myself.”
“You act like you’ve got a better chance at escaping than we do,” replied Amphoras.
“Well, I’m not planning to just wait here and hope they don’t find me,” she said before turning forward and dashing. As one would expect from such a speedy Pokemon, she zipped past Slaking and out the front entrance just as Typhlosion’s feet dropped down and blocked their view of anything else out of the doorway.
“Hey! One is getting away,” complained Emboar.
“That one’s pretty fast,” commented Charizard as Jolteon turned a corner. “It’ll be a pain to run after them at this size, but I bet there are more inside.”
“Did she,” pondered Mawile as Typhlosion bent down to take a peek into the entrance Jolteon ran out of. “Quick everyone, this might be our only chance.”
“Our chance for what?” asked Raichu as they followed Mawile to the other end of the first floor of the building.
“Hey! Where do you think you all are going?” cried Slaking as he started after them, only to be snatched up by the Fire Type reaching in with his arm.
“I got one!” announced Typhlosion as he pulled his arm out with Slaking in his clutches. The big ape attempted to break free, but even his strength didn’t compare to the grip of a giant. “Ohoh and he’s a big one too.”
“Were there any others?” asked Incineroar.
“I didn’t see anyone else, save for this one and the one that ran off. I suppose it could have just been the two, but if there are more around, we’ll find them.”
“This was Jolteon’s way of helping us?” questioned Raichu as they made their way out the back exit of the building. “She ran off and pretty much gave away which building we were in.”
“She did, but she probably also figured that Slaking would be the easiest to catch, being as big and slow as he is. Now, we’ve gotta get out of here and pray they don’t find us.”
“But where can we go?” questioned Amphoras. “Even if we’ve managed to give them the slip they’ll definitely find us before long.”
“Which is why it’s finally time for us all to go our separate ways,” she explained. “If we all go in different directions then at least some of us might get away. That’s the best we can hope for now.”
“Oh,” said Goodra sadly. “And I think we were all just starting to get along. Now we’ve gotta split up. W-Well, then that just means we’ve all gotta try to survive till we can meet up again.”
“If we meet up again,” pointed out Mawile. “Then chances are we’ll be trying to eat one another or did you forget that this is a competition where only one of us can win.”
“I know,” he replied. “But still. It can be a meet and eat then.”
“Whatever you say, weirdo,” she sighed as they each decided on a different direction and made a run for it. Some ducked into a nearby building hoping to be safe in there while others tried to put some more distance between them and the giant Pokemon.
“Let go of me!” bellowed Slaking as loud as his lungs could allow as he attempted to escape. To the giants holding him captive, his roars sounded more like the squeaks of a mouse, making them snicker with amusement.
“I always thought Slaking were a bit scary being as huge as they were,” grunted Emboar. “But when one is small enough to fit comfortably in your palm, they’re actually kinda cute.”
“Cute enough to eat?” asked Charizard with a smirk.
“Only one way to find out,” answered Typhlosion as he tossed the big ape into the sky like he was a piece of popcorn and opened his maw wide to catch him in it.
“This cannot be happening!” cried the great ape Pokemon as he tumbled about helplessly in the air. He swung his arms haphazardly, but not being a Flying-Type it did nothing to aid in his situation.
As he reached the zenith of his height and everything was about to go downhill from there, a strange figure appeared in front of the Slaking’s face coming into being in a bright flash of light that momentarily made him forget about his approaching demise. “What is that?” he questioned as he extended an arm to touch it.
“Hey, careful where you poke,” giggled Jirachi as his form became clearer in the light. “My third eye is on my tummy.”
“Uh, who are you?” asked Slaking as he began his descent.
“I’m the Game Master of the Gulpin Games,” he explained. “And congrats to you because you’ve been chosen to receive an extra special gift. It’s so special, in fact, that I had to deliver it to you in person.”
“Great,” replied Slaking as he drew nearer and nearer to Typhlosion’s maw. “What is it?”
“A wish,” he answered. “Whatever you want, it’s yours, well, there are some stipulations.”
“Oh, that is really awesome,” he said elated. “I can wish for anything I want. Heck, with the right wish I could probably win the game right now.”
“Well, instantly winning is one of those stipulations,” Jirachi told him.
“Figures,” he sighed and looked down to see Typhlosion’s uvula against the darkness of his throat. “This is just great. I get this wish and I don’t even have time to use it. Oh, why couldn’t these guys have caught someone else instead of me?”
“Very well,” answered Jirachi. “Wish granted!”
“Wait, I didn’t-” Slaking stated to say, but vanished and was replaced with Steenee who was now the one plummeting to her doom.
“Huh? What the?” she cried in disbelief as she found herself on the verge of being swallowed whole. “No fair warping reality on me!”
“Gulp!” swallowed Typhlosion as he swallowed his not intended victim. “He went down a lot easier than I thought he’d be for one of his size. Tasted leafier too.” Then, in a magical poof cloud, Typhlosion suddenly found himself returned once more to his normal size, albeit with a nice bulging gut.
“I must say,” commented Seismitoad as he climbed down Charizard’s leg to meet up with his teammate who was laying on the ground and patting his belly. He gave the Fire-Type’s belly a poke. “I much prefer you at this size. But, did the Slaking shrink with you because I figured you’d be more belly than anything after voring a Pokemon that large.”
“I don’t know, but big or small it’s hard to move afterwards,” he noted. “It’s definitely a good idea that we called this truce. While the point of this game is to eat one another, we can’t simply do that without considering the state we’ll be in afterwards. At least, this way, we can safely take care of a chunk of the competition. Now, it should be Incineroar’s turn to vore someone. I wonder who we’ll get to eliminate next.”
“I didn’t wish for that,” groaned and grumbled a very pissed off Slaking. “I mean, I’m glad I wasn’t eaten, but I could have used that wish for something much more important. Not that my life isn’t, but seriously!”
“Uh, is he talking to us?” asked Lucario as he and Pangoro stared at Slaking throwing a temper tantrum.
“It doesn’t look like it,” replied Pangoro, scratching his head.
“And Steenee is gone,” he added, looking around and not her or hearing her typical ranting and raving.
“Not a trace,” he confirmed.
“I guess things are looking up for us,” Lucario told his comrade as they walked off, leaving Slaking to vent his frustrations on his own, taking only a couple minutes more before he took notice of the two Pokemon walking away from him. “Well, I didn’t get my wish, but I’m the biggest Pokemon around now. I’m gonna get to eat this time, for sure!”
Beating his chest, he charged at Lucario and Pangoro, determined to gobble them up. “Looks like we’ve got another pain coming after us,” sighed Pangoro.
“I’ve got this one,” breathed Lucario as he took out one of his Shrink Pills and aimed it. Once Slaking was in range, he flicked it right into his maw. Taken by surprise, he ended up swallowing it, but didn’t give it much thought. However, his body suddenly started to feel strange and with every step he took, the two Pokemon before him seemed to grow taller and taller. By the time he reached them, he was once more in the sights of giant Pokemon looking down at him.
“Oh come on!” he shouted in even more annoyance than before.
“What should we do with him now?” asked Lucario as he picked him up. “The pill should last for a little while. Should we eat him or put him somewhere he won’t bother us?”
“Hmm, tough call,” pondered Pangoro. “I’ll eat him if you don’t wanna.”
“Any chance I can get a do over on that wish?” called out Slaking to no avail. “Please Jirachi? You said you were the Game Master, didn’t you?”
“Jirachi? The Game Master?” questioned Lucario. “You mean you met the one who put us all in here?”
“Uh, I guess, for about a minute,” he admitted.
“Then, perhaps he could prove a bit useful to us,” agreed Pangoro. “And, if he can’t, there’s always down the hatch for him.”
Time for the voting. At least 2 Pokemon will be eliminated!!! The first will be for one Pokemon to be vored by potentially any other Pokemon. The second vote will be to decide who will be eaten by Typhlosion.
Vote 1: Pokemon Elimination. Each person can vote up to three times, even using all their votes for one Pokemon or dividing them up however they want. The Pokemon with the most votes will be eliminated from the competition.
