I know its nothing of the best I've done, I actually only spent roughly 3 hours on it. I was bored, and was taking a break from a commission (I haven't forgotten! I'm working on it!) thats been giving me a lil trouble.
I was going to add a moon but got too lazy in the end. So its hiding up thar somewhere.
... I start the winter quarter of college tomorrow... *headdesks* be gentle!

I'm surprised it came out as well as it did, I only sketched the outlines of her a bit, I think the most time I spent was sculpting her face out the blue. What I did was colored the background black, and on a new layer slapped down blue and used the Smudge tool to sculpt her body out, kind of like painting, if that makes sense.
The glowy effects took me less than a minute ;)

Glowing markings are sex hun. You should totally do this more often. And I LOVE her face expression. Narrow eyes make it look all regal, although from the title this is betrayed as being sadness. Three hours? Wow, this piece definately shows 2 or 3 qualities I'd love to see from now on.
Draw more art on impulse, and you already said you wanted to do more symbolist pics. Notable skills start manifesting when you're drawing by Heart. <3
