1) Markings and patterns

ALL NIRIEN HAVE THE SAME SHADE OF BLACK MARKING!!! It’s not pure black, to find the tone you can take it from this part in the tutorial or from other flat or simple colored Nirien in the examples in my stash. These are generally kinda blobby looking, sometimes it can be sharp and in rare cases it can be spotted. Patterns like stars and hearts are not allowed, it’s all generally organic looking, and same applies to the white above their eyes.
There are only certain areas where the markings show up, its marked in pink in the reference bellow, the rest of the body tend to show no additional marks. Also all nirien have the exact same nail color.

*ALSO, NIRIEN NIPPLES AND VAGINAS ARE PURE WHITE, WHILE THE HEAD OF THE PENIS IN MALES IS THE SAME BLACK AS THE MARKINGS!!*

2) Bodies

Generally Nirien females are all pretty curvy, but its more common to see one bottom heavy than top heavy, males are also generally toned or defined.

3) Feet

Their feet look like elephant feet if they were more elongated and fine, follow the guide to illustrate their feet well. They bend at the ankle, from then on they are pretty rigid. Nirien walk in the tips of their toes and use their “toes/nails” for climbing, which they excel at.

4) Colors

PURE WHITE AND PURE BLACK ARENT ALLOWED!! It simply isn’t a thing that happens in the species, albinos will be a more creamy color and hyperpigmented will be sorta sooty brown or a darker shade of any color.

Aside from that and the fact they have only one color though their entire body, any color is permitted, from bright blues to dull pinks, they are very colorful as a species.

Their eyes and sensory eyes also can be any color, though it’s more common to see the sensory eyes sharing a color if not an exact tone.

5) Cranial structure

There are a few important elements in a nirien’s head, starting off with the fact that THEY DO NOT HAVE NOSES. Aside from that there are the 4 sensory eyes in their foreheads that they use to see in dark areas and 5 protrusions coming from their heads. Two at the top that are commonly horns, the two coming out of their jaw bones that are soft tentacles and one back tentacle that comes from the back of the head. These appendages decorate the Nirien and can’t move independently.

6) Clothing

Clothing in Paxilion is varied especially in the ports, but Nirien do have a usual kind of fashion in the cities deeper inland, the flowing silks of solid colors adorned with metals, be it gold, silver, iron, etc. are prominent, the costlier the metal the higher class you are.
