The Basics

❤ Wyverexes are symbiotic creatures made of living liquid. Their true form is always a large draconic serpent with wings.
❤ The source of all wyverexes is the Black Queen. Her host is @Nakase, and they can both exert mental control over all other wyverexes.
❤ Though they cannot speak, all wyverexes are telepathically connected to one another. It is not quite a 'hive mind', but higher tier wyverexes can command lower tier wyverexes. Hosts are not part of the mental network (except for possibly @Nakase), but can form a mental link with their own symbiote over time.
❤ When a wyverex is inactive, it takes the form of a metal bracelet that the host cannot remove. They can also create a form fitting living suit around their host when they don't want to grow to full size.
❤ Currently there are five wyverex tiers: The Black Queen, the Scions, Vassals, Ferals, and Shadows.

Wyverex/Host interaction
❤ Each Wyverex is bound (or is planning to be bound to) a single host. It never leaves its host, and is usually customized by Nakase to attend to the hosts's needs and desires. The host has little to no control over its symbote however, and the wyverex demands that the host be subservient to the Queen and help find more potential wyverex hosts.
❤ The most common way for a wyverex to help it's host is via forced relaxation. They can trap their hosts within their bodies and lull them into an extremely deep sleep. They can also serve as companions and protectors, depending on the host's needs.
❤ Wyverexes are extremely dominant of their hosts, but prefer the host to be willing rather than having to constantly fight them. They'll go to great lengths to show the host that living with it is far better than being without one.
❤ Usually, a host is allowed to live a relatively normal life. The wyverex will stay hidden in bracelet form or as a living suit under the host's clothes in order to avoid interfering with jobs and interaction with others.
❤ In some cases, if a host refuses to cooperate at all, the wyverex will assimilate the host. The host's body will be absorbed and their minds will merge together. In effect, the host will become the wyverex, but will become controlled by the wyeverex's instincts and the Queen's telepathic link. These failed "shadow wyverexes" become guardians for the Queen and other wyverexes who need it.
❤ If a host and wyverex become close, a mental link will begin to form between them. Through this link the host can communicate with the symbiote to some degree. In addition, the host may find themselves able to experience 'becoming' the wyverex while encased or mentally merge to some degree.

The Black Queen
❤ The Black Queen is the source of all wyverexes, but where it came from and its true nature are mysterious
❤ The Queen appeared soon after Nakase began dabbling in wyverex creation magic and made her its host
❤ It has telepathic control over all other wyverexes, but no direct control over their hosts.

Scions
❤ The Scions were the first wyverexes created directly by Nakase. She intended for them to serve as companions and protectors for her friends, though the wyverexes often have their own ideas about how to achieve this goal.
❤ All scions are metallic colored, and are direct servants of the queen. They can command lower ranked wyverexes.
