In the right pirate havens, people will do things like race through the streets being pursued by shark-demons and launching bolts of pure elemental shadow in defense... and nobody will interfere.

After all, it's not always wise to get involved.

He's a halfling, so technically he has a pretty good Balance check - a'course, if I'm gonna say that, I need to point out that he'd need to make some sort of Concentration roll at a hefty penalty to pull off the spell. I'm just gonna invoke the Rule of Cool here, okay?
