Serenade to spring
Some say that can hear and feel the prescence of dragons near the forests where it rains heavily during winter. But no one has ever managed to see them, no matter how close their sounds seems no traces remain.
But people say they always see birds where dragon sounds are heard. They see small birds that fly through the air like graceful kites. Children, with their sincere imagination, say that maybe dragons became birds and that is why nobody sees them as before.
Legends say that centuries ago a dragons couple lived in those forests and that their love was so sincere and lasting that the birds nest and raise their offspring near the place where the they lived. And interestingly, the birds that come the most are swallows.
Some curious people who approach to observe or study the birds, say they have seen a particular pair of swallows that seems to stand out from all the others. These swallows collect straw and feathers to make a nest, like all the others, but this couple does not lay any eggs or raise chicks, but spend the summer playing, caressing and taking care of each other. Nothing unusual among swallows, but still curious to see a couple together without the need to procreate.
Others have said seeing swallows with special amber and emerald eyes, which is impossible since all swallows have dark eyes.
Maybe those legends meddle with the minds of people who watch these birds. Or maybe it is possible that the imagination of children is not so far from reality and there are dragons that were reincarnated in birds. Perhaps they are even the dragon couple who lived centuries ago, their love so eternal that they defeated death, returning every year as a couple of small swallows.

This is a drawing that I finished a week ago as a birthday present for my partner Breise. Since we met more than 8 years ago we have used the swallow as a symbol of our relationship, regardless of us being dragons.
We chose the swallow because it is a bird that flies through the air as if it dominates the sky, with long wings and an aerodynamic body like an airplane (there are even countries that call swallows literally as “planes”). It is also a protective bird of his home and fierce fighter despite only weighing 20 grams. They will face anything that threatens their nest or partner regardless of size. It is also a migratory bird capable of crossing seas and continents, just as I did to reach Breise.
And there are also similarities of color, since Breise and I have blue and white as our main colors.

Some of my followers know that drawings like this are not so rare in my gallery, since I can draw many other things besides dragons ehehe. And my style is optimized for accuracy, so I can draw real things without problem.
