Healing hurts undead creatures.

Mhmm. There's almost always at least one boss in each Final Fantasy game you can use a healing spell or item on to defeat instantly. And in D&D rules, Positive Energy damages Negative Energy creatures, and vice-versa. And since death is the opposite of life; you get the idea.

Basically, if a game lets you use "beneficial" effects on the enemies, not just your own party, this rule is almost certainly in effect.

think its more like Heal spell heals all wounds least on normal living targets. buuut for undead its opposite so the 999 damage is just the heal effect in reverse. basicly how you kill doom train fast in final fantasy use phoenix down on it I think XD

The joke is that Wiz is not a necromancer or other kind of a black magician, but a healer. And healing spells on undead and demons, does not heal them, but deals damage. So, he must be rolled up some 20-20-20.

I learned that healing the undead is bad, from FFX and Seymour. Screw that fight. Damn though, a healer on an undead team D:

I was a kobold rogue in a party of misfits. One of which was a fairy lich. I got hit super hard by something and left me at 1 health. I shout to the cleric QUICK THROW ME A POTION IMA DIIIIIE. Cleric boi throws it. I roll to catch. I miss. We roll a grenade check to see where it lands, hopefully I still get splashed by it and heal a little bit. It lands in the square behind me to my left.

This comic actually inspired me to play a kobold in a new campaign.
She is now a level 5 ranger and by the stupidest rolls this world has ever seen...She has an owlbear as a pet/mount.

I once rolled up a kobold cleric of pelor. the irony of it all is that kobolds are light sensitive and pelor is the D&D god of the sun. XD
but despite the beautiful irony, she was AMAZING. Str 8 (who needs that when you're a 2 foot tall healbot?) 18 Dex 14 con (hardy for a kobold) 12 Int 18 Wis and 16 Cha (18 with a cloak of cha she picked up). since she couldn't carry 90% of her crap without being overburdened, she even had a riding dog that we flavor ruled was a tibetan mastiff that was so fluffy she could hide in it when she was asleep

I almost, ALMOST considered crossclassing her as rogue, because between her dexterity and her small size, she's got a huge bonus to hiding and moving silently XD but as sweet as she is, she's dutifully dedicated to wiping out all manner of undead lol.
