So I went and saw TLK today and was inspired to play with Dusk's design a little. I'm not sure I like it. Someone I know said he looks like every other furry lion on the internet now. I'm never sure if my work looks ok, so that really stung but oh well. I'm posting anyway. I wish I could love my work but this person is really good at "helping me" read "making me feel like shit about it." It takes a lot for me to finish and post things but I'm trying to just do it anyway.
Sorry for the emo rant but I really just needed to take the opportunity to say it. What do you guys think? Does he now just look like every other lion character out there? I'm trying to decide if the guys that said that is just a jerk or if he has a point and it just stings.

Looks good to me! :) Yeah it looks a BIT like "every other lion", but in the sense that it's kinda NORMAL LION COLOURS. It's YOUR character man, make him pink and gold if it makes you happy ;) Style-wise he's still distinguishable as Dusk as far as I can tell (I'm no artist, so my critique isn't hella useful) :D
Oh, but in your keywords I think you meant to put "manga" and not "mange"... Unless he's been playing around with the wrong kind of furries :)

ROFL *Facedesk* I'ma go fix that now LOL! And thanks! I appreciate that alot. XD And you know, my art teachers always said back in art college that the best people to have critique your work were non-artists as they will be more likely to tell you what they see and give you a real gauge of whether what you did was effective or not. XD So thanks!
It's a nice image, though I think his previous look seemed more distinctive to me, but there's nothing wrong with this version either. Personally I preferred the previous rendition because the hair seems muted here and it just popped more against his previous color scheme.
