Honestly, they're just words I learned how to use today during my anatomy study. (Yay wikipedia!) ^^;
Oh, duh! I forgot they have more than one tail! *facepalm*
Um... hm... Okay, how about this? If we wanted to be realistic, each tail would have to contain some semblance of spinal cord in order to move. So maybe the spinal cord splits off at one vertebra near the base of the spine which would have to have three (or five, or seven) openings to thread each of the split spinal cords through. Then each of those outlets would attach to a small pseudo-coccyx? That could get a bit messy with seven different tails, though. It's definitely a puzzle.
