Alder 2.0 SFW Ref Sheet
So after 2.5 years or so of happy companionship with Alder's old design, I got glasses and thus needed to update his design to include those. Then I started to think about the future and when I might be able to get a fursuit and such and decided after much consideration to update his appearance entirely to make it more accessible for a maker to get proper furs and make him less difficult to pattern. As such, I thought hard about what colours might be apropos for his backstory and settled on yellow - it's not impossible for Dutch Shepherds to be yellow, but it is not a proper color to meet breed standards. This would provide ample reason for his insecurities in himself. That, and it takes less time to colour than brindle and shows expressions better too - convenience matters, too!
So I hereby launch a new design for my favourite boy - Alder Liam Coleman 2.0. I hope you like him as much as I do!
