Thanks a bunch, man! The bugs would’ve actually been a good idea though. They could be just already cleaned up by Pumbaa but liked the taste of Timon’s feet so much that he wanted to spend some more time worshiping them, haha. XD

Thanks, pal! Yeah, I find it pretty hot seeing big feet that are so sensitive that they’re even ticklish to tongues. Maybe Simba was trying to help lick any bugs that Timon trampled off his soles and he and Pumbaa found out how ticklish his feet are, and later on Pumbaa found the perfect opportunity to get a taste of them in this scenario.
I'm sure it would have seemed like a good idea at the time for Timon to have gone into that hole but how he ended up stuck there was an interesting story, though I imagine that it was the opportunity that Pumbaa was waiting for. Whether it was just that there were bugs or perhaps some tasty seeds or something that had gotten stuck to the meerkats feet or maybe the warthog had just felt that he needed a saltlick and Timon does have some large feet for being a little meerkat and they're rather elegant. The laughter and the fact that it's so ticklish for Timon probably just encouraged Pumbaa to keep going.
With having hooves maybe Pumbaa wonders secretly what it would be like to have soft and sensitive skin and toes so maybe he'd be looking for other opportunities to lick some unsuspecting feet for the sake of producing some laughter.

Maybe Timon was trying to find earthworms underground and got stuck. I think in addition to all those other things you mentioned about the bugs and seeds being on his soles, they’re also could’ve been dirt on them and Pumbaa, while also finding the perfect moment to get a taste of those feet, was insisting on cleaning them with his wet tickling tongue. I think the best thing about lick tickling and getting to hear the victim laugh while you enjoy the taste and smell of their feet, so Pumbaa certainly kept going and making his best buddy laugh. As for his secret desire for fleshy feet, I like to think he also had an opportunity to lick Adult Simba’s feet and maybe got the same laughing reaction from him as well.
