It is always something special when arriving to work on a Friday, and that was true even for Robin Starling and his job at "Shelly's Maiden Service" as a Maid for hire.
Not only was his first weekend just waiting around the corner for him, but today will also soon mark his first whole week working at this very unique looking business.
After having learned the whole routine of morning meeting followed by driving out in pair to different clients it had all been moving on pretty smoothly for the young Deer boy, as it had mostly been filled with fun little surprises when meeting all of these clients being in need of cleaning help.
Another thing that had helped him get into the job much more easily was all the wonderful support he had got from many of co-workers, and he was especially thankful for the help from Honey the Bear.
Not only was she the most experienced worker to help Robin out (Both due to her having worked at this place the longest, and also for having a ton of real-life experience/training from raising little kids of hers at home) but she acted almost like a second mother to him, making him feel that he was in safe hands leading him into the routines.
Someone else that been like a firecracker of positive energy was Lemon, a Skunk gal who's very loud and almost explosive personality made her come off as the type of friend from high school, that just had to try out all kinds of crazy stuff that could lead her into some troubles later on! (Making Robin at times almost feel like an anchor to help drag this wild girl back on Earth.)
Of course it hadn't been all Rosebuds and Mint Chocolates for the cross-dressing Reindeer, since the fact he was still a guy working at this otherwise all-girls facility had got him to get a very personal enemy of his.
Her name was Sarah, and ever since setting his foot into the place back when he did his job interview with the boss Shelly, this Zebra lady had tried her hardest to make time together with her pure HELL!!!
When he had just been trying to enjoy a quick breakfast in the break-room on his first day Sarah had not only called him all kinds of homophobic slurs, but also letting him know that he didn't really "deserve" to be working here.
While nothing as strongly as that had happen to him again so far Sarah still would give Robin very hard judging looks whenever they passed by, and a few times she even would bump into his sides hard on purpose.
Good thing then that his time staying at the main building was always so short, and that a majority of it would be spent outside driving and cleaning up at different clients.
During all of his previous drives Robin had been having Honey as his cleaning partner to help him out, but for today he was told by Shelly during the morning meeting that he was going to get another partner to work with. (And upon hearing that he just prayed that it wouldn't be Sarah!)
To his relief it was instead a Bunny girl named Amber that was going to be his cleaning partner for the day, but as the rest got their stuff prepared for the trip Shelly walked over to Robin to let him know "This was something that Amber herself had requested".
This immediately made Robin a bit more confused over why someone he barley knew as Amber would want so badly to spent a day cleaning with him, but then he recalled that "weird moment" that happened during his very first day.
As everyone gave a brief introduction of themselves to him Amber's had been sticking out a lot more than the rest, as her way of talking to Robin almost came off as "Flirting" instead.
Robin didn't think much more about it at the time, but did this sudden request to have him as her working partner possibly have anything to do with that previous behavior of hers?
He was soon going to get a chance to get some answers to those questions since 5 minutes later the two of them were sitting in a car, being on an hour or so drive towards the client in question.
Sitting so closely together in silence the atmosphere quickly got very awkward, as Robin noticed Amber constantly throwing quick looks over at his chubby body forming around his maid outfit.
Wanting to break the silence without bringing up how obviously Amber was trying to look at his body Robin instead cleared his throat before asking, "So Amber, I don't think I ever got to know who you really are?"
Hearing Robin actually being interested in her Amber took almost as a personal invite, as she started to open up a lot more by sarcastically asking to herself "Oh, where shall I start?" before then starting to ramble on.
"If I'm being completely honest my back-story is probably a bit cliché, but I always had dreams about becoming a singer and dancer on a big stage!" Amber told Robin with great passion in her voice, as the Reindeer asked in equal interest "Really?"
"Yeah. I finished my exams at Drama School about a year ago, and surprise! Turns out having a fancy diploma doesn't magically pays your bills!" Amber said in a very joking like manner as she added, "So obviously I ended up getting this job while I keep hoping for that big break to come."
"I see. Then I truly hope that you will get that chance very soon." Robin said very encouragingly, as the two of them then went back into being mostly silent.
After some more silent time it was Amber's turn to try and break the ice by asking Robin "Can I tell you something?", and somehow he just knew what it was going to be about as he let her do so.
"I think you look very cute in that outfit." Amber told Robin, who in return just blushed very heavily as he gave a very quick "thank you." in return.
"I mean. It is the same outfit as I wear, obviously. But when you wear it around your body it really shows how "Soft" you are...Do you get what I mean?" Amber asked as Robin tried desperately to end it by once again very bluntly saying "Yes, I get what you mean.", but the Bunny girl still went on making it worse.
"I mean, you are obviously a very soft looking guy on the outside, but I'm sure you are also super soft like on your insides." Amber tried explaining as she herself started to sound more and more nervous over how badly she was making it before then just bursting out, "What I'm trying to say is that I really have a thing for fat guys!...in case you were curious about my tastes?"
By now a petty big part of Robin was actually considering opening the door on his side and just tumble out from the fast-moving vehicle, but thankfully Amber then said "Oh! I think our destination is coming up here!"
Looking up Robin was pretty amazed to see that it was a very large-sized mansion that they were driving up to, as he had no ideas what kind of celebrity would have been ordering to Shelly's business for cleaning help.
"I know the owner of this place if you want me to tell you." Amber teased as Robin was indeed very curious about who it could possibly be living in such a large place.
"Living here is none other than...famous rock singer Magnus Owl!" Amber announced in her very over the top style of way, as she then added "I know that since I have been cleaning up at his place a few times before."
Robin at first thought that Amber was pulling at his horn tips when she said that name, cause Magnus had actually been one of his favorite artists to listen to while growing up! (Even if most of those songs were released during the 70s and 80s, before Robin was even born.)
He was still putting out great albums and shows despite being in his 60s now, and it sounded almost too unreal that he was soon about to enter into his very own home!
And yet it was exactly what was going on as Amber drove the two of them through the gates to the mansion, before then having the car parked and them standing right outside the main doors.
Ringing the doorbell the two Maids were soon greeted by Mr. Owl himself, who despite his age still had his signature look of his curly hair and black shades.
For Robin it was an almost dreamlike moment since not only was he given a chance to meet one of his all-time music idols in private like this, but he was also dressed as a MAID while doing it!
Despite always preferring being dressed in a women's clothing over men Robin still had been somewhat unsure of how to greet some of the clients, which had lead to him sometimes putting on a fake "Female" voice in order to not look too weird.
Today he was considering doing the same now when meeting his idol, but that plan pretty quickly got scrapped when Amber first introduced herself before then saying, "And this is Robin, and let me tell you he can pretty much all your songs!"
"He, you say?" Magnus asked slightly surprised sounding, as he lifted his shades to get an extra good look at Robin. (Who by now wished he could have just stuffed Amber into a magic hat, and make her disappear!)
When seeing that it indeed was the face of a young Buck he was looking at Magnus gave what almost seemed like a look of "Respect" as he put his shades back on and invited the two maids inside his place.
Walking inside Robin was pretty stunned to see just what a gorgeous looking place this old Rock Star was living at, since the rooms were huge and he had some pretty fancy looking decorations placed all around!
When it came to cleaning wise this place looked pretty spot on at first glance, but for the trained eye it was easy to spot plenty of dust that had been starting to form on some of the decorative things.
"So is it just the usual stuff you need help with?" Amber asked Magnus who answered, "Yup. Just some simple dusting and vacuuming. Especially onto the things being placed a bit higher up, since I'm just 5 Feet 5 Inches myself."
"This place is mostly split up into 2 wings, so is it okay if I ask you to take the West one while you take the East one?" Amber asked Robin, who just said "Uh-huh." without really listening.
It still felt so unreal that he was standing in the home of Magnus Owl, while looking like he did! He didn't know why, but for some reason Robin felt so "Wrong" with showing this side of himself to one of his personal idols.
He tried to focus on his cleaning job instead as he headed into the Eastern Wing of the mansion, but his own judgemental thoughts still kept on haunting him.
"Why am I doing this to myself? What did that look he gave me mean? Can I actually tell anyone else about this? Don't I just look like a complete fool?"
What should have been a fairly easy cleaning job turned into a lot more of a shore, as those self-inflicted negative thoughts kept echoing inside Robin's head, as the Reindeer Maid started to even wonder if Sarah had been right in what she had said about him before?
"Did I just get the job cause Shelly felt pity for me? Maybe I should just ditch this outfit and get a job where I wear stuff a real guy should wear?" Robin was asking himself as he suddenly felt a hand onto his shoulder, and upon turning around he was stunned to see that it was Magnus himself that came to him.
"Y-Yes, Mr. Owl? W-What c-can I h-help you w-with?" Robin asked super nervously as the old Rock singer just looked him up and down and asked "Are you actually a boy?"
Robin could already imagine where this conversation was going next as he just tried to mentally prepare himself for some kind of ridicule from his personal idol as he answered, "...yes." in an almost silent voice.
But the Owl man didn't start do to any mean heckling or laughing into Robin's face as all he had for a reaction was saying "I have to say it is the first time they have ever sent someone like you here to me." in a way that sounded like he was very impressed by Shelly and her company.
"S-Someone like me?" Robin asked slightly confused as Magnus told him, "Kid, ever since my career started I have met plenty of folks who told me that they were fans of my works, but feeling too scared to come out and see my concerts due to their sexual status. Ever since then I have often tried either with my songs or performances to make a platform and a voice for those who feel like they are never getting heard."
"You mean songs like, "Queen in the Bar", and "Lookout World!"?" Robin asked amazed as Magnus said back, "Pretty much, yes."
"Those are the types of songs that I grew up listening to! They gave me the strength and hope to dare be myself!" Robin said as Magnus told him "And that's why I got so impressed when I saw someone like you coming to help clean up my place. That my message is still helping new generations into not being afraid to show their true selves."
Placing a hand onto Robin's shoulder once more Magnus looked him into the eyes and told him, "I have to tell you kid, that I deeply respect your bravery to keep doing what feels right to you, and don't let anyone else ever tell you otherwise!", which filled Robin up with a huge dose of self-confidence that he was really needing right now.
After that little talk with Magnus Owl the rest of Robin's workday went on a lot more smoother, as he could now finally take the time to get all fanboy like over the fact that he was helping to clean up all kinds of fancy things that belongs to his all-time music idol! (Including stuff like old instruments of his, and all kinds of music awards.)
Together he and Amber managed to make the place really sparkling from tip to toe, as Magnus was impressed as always by "the great services that Shelly and her Maids always brings".
Before leaving Robin took the chance to do something he had wished to do since arriving, which was to ask for both a selfie and autograph signing onto his apron. (Both of which were things that Magnus was more than willing to do for him.)
When driving back to base again Amber could see the looks of pure joy being onto Robin's face, and knew this was the perfect moment for her to try and "make her move".
"So I take it that you had fun doing this gig with me?" Amber asked Robin who said "Yes! I loved it soooooo much!" before then holding up his signed apron and adding, "I'm going to take this apron home, and probably frame it onto the wall later."
"I'm glad to hear that our first time working together became such a success." Amber said as she then tried to turn things more into her direction by asking, "Did I tell you that I have a thing for dating guys that are a bit more pudgy looking?"
"Yes, you did tell me that." Robin said as he got slightly worried over where it was heading as he carefully asked back, "Had any luck finding the right one?"
"Well, I have been dating both a Hippo and a pretty overweight Fox in the past, but neither of them was really my type if I say so." Amber responded before then dwelling a bit deeper into it.
"Like, Robert was always to act a lot like the bruiting "Real Man" type, and Eric was just so one dimensional with his geeky persona and everything." Amber explained as she then made clear that "If anything I just wish that I could find a man that really has more of a soft spot on his insides also, if you know what I mean?"
"I...think I do." Robin said as he tried to not send any unintentional signals to the Rabbit girl, as she looked over at him and asked "You said that you were Bisexual, right?"
"Y-Yes, I feel that is what best reflects on my true sexuality." Robin said as he could see one of Amber's hands leaving the steering wheel, and instead feeling it resting onto his left thigh!
"B-BUT!!!" Robin then spurted out almost in a panic. "If I had to "Pick a side" so to speak, then I sadly have to let you know that I would rather try and find myself a boyfriend to get into a relationship with."
He had tried to be gentle with telling the truth to his co-worker, but yet Robin could see a bit of broken dreams in the eyes of Amber, as her hand moved away from his leg and back to the steering wheel.
"I'm sorry for breaking it to you, but if anything I would still like to be your friend if possible?" Robin asked as he instead placed one of his hands onto Amber's shoulder, as the Rabbit girl looked over at him and said "Yeah...I think that would be very lovely indeed."
It all seemed to have settled out fairly nicely between the two of them as they drove off, but unknowingly to Robin his fellow co-worker still had romantic thoughts about him on her mind!
"But you did say "Bisexual" to me, didn't you? That means there is a part of you that does love girls also! All I need to do is to find a way to convince that side of you to give me a chance." Amber was thinking to herself as while she had failed today, she was not going to give up on her attempts are charming Robin into becoming her lover anytime soon!
After such an emotional rollercoaster of a day all that was on Robin's mind now as he and Amber came driving back to the headquarters of "Shelly's Maiden Service" was for him to get changed back into his normal clothes, and then spend the rest of the evening just dozing off at the couch.
But as he was getting changed inside of a small shower room (Shelly having him not to get changed amongst the other girls, out of respect that some of them might get a bit uncomfortable sharing the changing room with a guy) there was a small knock to be heard onto the door, and upon opening it he was slightly surprised to see two very familiar faces standing there.
It was Honey and Lemon, who both asked him if he "Had any plans for tonight?"
"No, I can't say that I have anything set." Robin answered very honestly as a slight look of intrigue could be seen onto the faces of the Bear and Skunk.
"We were just asking cause if you want you could come along with us and Shelly, and spend a night together with some shopping and fine dining!" Lemon said as Honey added, "It is something the 3 of us has been doing for plenty of Friday Nights now, and we figured it was something that you might want to join in on?"
Robin was pretty surprised to hear they all wanted to invite him over to be in their little group event, but he gladly agreed on taking their offer.
"Is it just okay if I get home first so I can get changed into something more "proper" for a night in town?" Robin asked the two ladies, who in return told him that they were going to do the same thing themselves.
"How about we pick you up outside your home at 5?" Honey suggested as that soon became the time for when Robin was going to get to have his first "Ladies Night" together with his co-workers, and even boss!
Once back at home Robin tried to be extra careful about what to wear for this occasion, as he was almost treating it like the future of his job was hanging on it.
Finally he decided to go for a nice looking purple short sleeve tunic and skirt, as he heard the sound of the car waiting for him outside.
Grabbing his purse Robin put on some of his nicest looking boots, as he headed outside for what would surely be a night worth remembering.
Getting his chubby frame cramped nicely into the car together with Shelly and Lemon (Honey was the one driving, since they were all riding in her family's minivan.) Robin could see that the others had gone for a bit more "casual" clothing style.
While Honey was wearing a pretty standard looking shirt and long pants, Lemon only had on what seemed like a long thin summer dress and sandals.
But the one being the most daring looking of them all was Shelly, who's combination of a tank top and short shorts really did a lot to show the curvy figures she had. (Making even Robin blush a little bit over how much belly and butt that Giraffe boss of his was showing!)
"It's really great that you wanted to come with us for one of our "Wild Nights" together." Lemon joked as Shelly told Robin that, "I have really been wanting for a moment like this to so that I could get to know you better on a much more personal level."
Robin felt pretty honored to hear them all say how much having him with them was going to make it a lot more fun, as he asked what they would be doing first.
"Our plan right now is to just hit the local shopping district, go through a few stores selling clothes and whatnot, and then end it all with a with a small dining together at a place we go to very regularly." Honey said from the driver seat, as this all sounded really nice and dandy to him.
"Did you hope for some more "action" from the evening, Robin? Maybe that we would end up hitting a bar also, and try to hit on some nice looking guys?" Lemon teased, as all the three ladies had a pretty good laugh over it.
"No, no. It just the first time I've ever done something like this with my co-workers." Robin explained as Shelly told him "If you need one advice from me it is this. Just try to have fun, and don't worry about embarrassing yourself in any way."
"Trust us. We all have had our fair share of embarrassing moments in the past, so if you end up making your first one tonight then we all have over 100 of them together." Lemon said in her always special way, that Robin could now finally understand was meant as a type of encouragement.
He was about to spend a night with 3 great colleagues, and all that Robin had to try and remember was these 2 words.
"Have Fun"
As they parked the car and got out it really felt like hanging with a bunch of girls from middle school, as Honey, Lemon, and Shelly all showed a much more bubbly and happy series of personalities then what he was used to see them as back at work.
Honey who was often seen as the calm one was now using her much louder voice when talking, and Shelly who would always try to be acting professional in her role as the boss was here getting catcalls from guys passing by, and actually teasing about flashing her goods for them!
Even Robin himself was surprised to get a few calls from some guys calling him "Cute" and "Pretty", and seeing some of them even coming from guys he could tell was gay it did make him feel like those comments actually meant something to him.
The only one who still was pretty much herself was Lemon, who didn't really act that much different from how she was at work but rather had been trying to be a bit more "Controlled" when at her job. (Something that Robin couldn't tell at times if there really was any difference between the two.)
After about 5 minutes of walking they finally came to a favorite place of theirs to shop called "Modern Deer", which they weren't late about joking how the name felt so fitting for someone like Robin.
Testing out the clothes the quartet of ladies (And guy) really had so much fun, as seeing what the others would be trying out was just as entertaining as getting dressed themselves.
They all started by mostly picking things they could actually consider buying from the place, before then quickly starting to just make it all "Try for fun", and even ending up buying a whole lot of stuff that honestly none of them would have bought if they had been on their own! (But when being pushed by your friend on how good you were looking in it, it was pretty hard not to just waste some money for fun.)
Robin's only small dilemma was the fear of what would happen if he tried to use the changing rooms inside of this place mostly meant to be shopping by "girls", but the trio assured him that they could "guard the room" if he felt that was needed. (Something Robin admitted really wasn't, and afterwards didn't have any problems getting changed by himself.)
For Robin this felt like the biggest makeover he had ever been put through, as he had so much fun trying out all kinds of blouses, skirts, and dresses on himself, as he also took the chance to see what the other ones were trying out.
While Honey would play it very "Safe" with picking out things she could see herself wearing at home or out with her family, Shelly really went for stuff you would only wear to certain types of parties since she wasn't feeling scared of letting a lot of her chunky body hang out in the open!
The only one that Robin spotted wasn't trying any clothes was Lemon, who could be seen only looking at accessories like jewelry and purses. This really was something that puzzled Robin a lot since they were all shopping at such a great place, and he tried to ask the Skunk lady why she didn't try to test some stuff.
"Let's just say that if I were to ditch this Summer dress we wouldn't be able to stay in this store for very long." Lemon said in a purposely vague manner, as it did leave Robin pretty confused and without any clear answers.
Looking around he could see how both Honey and Shelly started to snicker a bit over what Lemon had said, as they clearly knew something about her that he didn't.
"I know she can be the weirdest acting one of the bunch, but what is so funny about it?" Robin asked himself as he knew he wasn't going to be let in on the secret tonight, and instead tried to focus on trying out some more clothing to himself.
After all their fun shopping at "Modern Deer" it was off to the restaurant, as Robin for one was starting to starve a little bit now.
Entering the place it all looked so elegant and luxurious, and when seeing the menu this was all dishes that he had always dreamed about trying out.
Settling for the Salmon dish Robin and his group had the most wonderful time eating, drinking, and just talking about all kinds of things.
While plenty of discussions was still about things that had happen at work (Mostly about different clients they all had been visiting), all of the ladies did share their fair amount of personal stuff like families and friends.
Suddenly Shelly hit the side of her glass with a silverware to get the attention of the table, before then wanting to host a toast for Robin and his first full week at his new job.
After all raising the glasses for him Shelly had to ask the Deer boy how he had been feeling working for a full week for them, as Robin had to say that it had been "overall really nice".
"Ever since I got here I have been being greeted with such open arms by everyone." Robin said before then getting a bit down as he reminded himself, "Everyone besides...you know who."
The previously so positive and energetic atmosphere quickly died down a lot as despite not having said her name, they all knew very well who Robin was talking about. (And what she had done to him.)
Feeling it was her duty as being the boss of Robin, Shelly spoke up to let him know from her side of it all how she truly felt about Sarah's behavior towards him.
"I want to let you know that I got immediately told about what had happen by Honey and Lemon shortly after our morning meeting, and when I heard it I was honestly feeling pretty pissed about Sarah myself." Shelly said as Robin could see in her eyes that what she was going to say next would most likely be something that wouldn't please him, but that she still needed to say.
"It is true that even before you got here I was being told how Sarah could be "A bit problematic" to deal with at times, but it had never been anything so serious that I would have the need to call her out on it." Shelly explained as Robin brought up, "I also heard that when she is out cleaning she is like a completely different person."
"That is correct. When looking at feedback from her clients I haven't spotted a single one having anything negative to say about her, so from a working standpoint firing Sarah would be pretty bad for business." Shelly told Robin, who understood what she said but still felt a bit sad over how someone as rude as Sarah just could be allowed to get away with it.
"Given how little we see each other before driving off to our clients Sarah more often then not tries to avoid contact with other works as much as possible, making us sometimes even forget about her actually working here." Honey filled in, as Lemon added "Just imagine her not working here at all makes it 10 times more tolerable to be there!"
It had only been a week for Robin, but he was starting to wonder now if he could handle another outburst like that from Sarah?
The way they described her acting to the rest seemed bad but still nothing too personal, while his first encounter with her had been one of the foulest and painful moments of his life.
That's when Shelly took over the speaking again as she had something to tell Robin about what else that had happen since that first meeting he and Sarah had.
"This really isn't something I should be sharing with you but after Sarah and Lemon came back from that job I put them together on, I asked for Sarah to come into my office." Shelly said, and just hearing that intro bit Robin was listening very closely on what his boss could have to tell next.
"Like I said before up until now Sarah had not been saying or doing anything that could be considered "Slander or Harassment" of any kind, but after having heard what she had said to you I gave Sarah her very first warning since getting her." Shelly told Robin and the rest, and while they had all secretly wished for it to be about the Zebra girl getting fired this was the much more realistic thing to hear.
"So what does that mean?" Robin asked as Shelly let out a bit of a sigh before answering, "In the big picture, nothing really. But hopefully this first time warning of hers might make her think twice before uttering something that could be seen as hurtful to you."
Shelly then leaned closer over to Robin, as she looked a lot more serious and upset over the whole thing.
"I get what Sarah means when she thinks that there are many places where women don't get the same chances for a proper job like men does, but she is completely wrong in assuming that this is a rare type of workplace that is "Women Only"!" Shelly said with a lot of built-up anger inside of her as she went on.
"This is my company, so I am the one to decide who I wish to hire to work for me. It is true that many of my clients are expecting to find a nice thin-looking lady to come help clean their place when hiring from this place, but if I feel like hiring some plump little trans-boy then they will have to complain to me about it!" Shelly proclaimed as she then quickly told Robin, "But just so you know. I have got zero complaints about you so far, so don't worry."
"Sarah can have her opinions about if you have any right to work here or how you look, but she better keep those opinions to herself!" Shelly went on as she promised Robin that, "If I ever get forced to, I am prepared to let a real star player like Sarah leave, if she doesn't learn how to properly work with the rest of her team."
"For me what's important is that YOU want to work hard and earn your salary, and I can't be any more happy than to say that you are a truly hard-working worker for my company!" Shelly said as she then encouraged Honey and Lemon to each raise their glasses for Robin.
"No matter what happens next you shall always know that we are here to support you!" Shelly said as they all made a toast for Robin, before then ordering in the desserts of this place.
Feeling that tonight his bonds with his co-workers and boss had grown a lot closer Robin's original fears over what would happen were now replaced by his feelings of hunger over wanting to get the place's "Ice-cream Mountain" served to him.
And while the other 3 had also ordered the same kind of dessert as Robin had, the chubby Deer boy felt so hungry still that he had been getting himself 2 portions of the same dish!
"And people wonder how you got so big in the first place?" Lemon asked him as Robin had to shamefully admit that if he did have a special weakness, then it was that he literally couldn't resist getting himself a few more sweet meals then he really should have.
But this had been an evening filled with so much fun and shopping that Robin could honestly see himself spending the rest of the weekend just resting himself from how tired he was going to be once back home.

jaldogIt is always something special when arriving to work on a Friday, and that was true even for Robin Starling and his job at "Shelly's Maiden Service" as a Maid for hire.
