About two months ago, a member of our community named  Cetas died. He was very well-loved as a person who enjoyed art and had an imaginative mind. I didn't personally know him very well, but I had definitely seen his OC in commissions from various artists here and there. When I heard about his death, it was from a mutual friend,  traskfox . It goes without saying that this news hit them very hard, as did it for all of those who knew Cetas. But we wanted to fulfill one last wish Cetas had made. I'll let Trask explain:

"My dear friend Cetas has always wished to be a carousel knight, to join me and the fun I myself and so many others enjoy. More than worthy of a spot as a carousel knight, I offer this to you, my only regret was to never have done this sooner, but may this forever be my tribute to you, of how much I've always cared for and loved you. No matter where you are now, we will always ride the carousel together, gone but never forgotten, this ride will never end for both of us~. <3"

This work was without question one of the most emotional pieces I've ever done, and I admit to have wiped away more than a couple of tears while doing so (as well as some merely writing this). No money changed hands for the creation of this piece. It is a gift from the heart, from my dear friend Trask and from myself, for a beloved member of our community.

Rest in peace, Cetas. I can only hope that you have many happy rides in the afterlife.
