This drawing has the instant "WOW!" factor! I saw it when browsing through a friend's favourites. I can't believe I haven't come across it before actually.
I absolutely LOVE the pose with this cute blue dragon taking a knee. The anatomy and angles are superb with such a challenging position. Equally impressive is how much depth can be seen in the picture, from his foot in the rear, or tail sweeping back.
I also find it amazing how well you did the head with him looking forward. With any creature with a long snout, such as a crocodile or dragon, this is very difficult to pull off. You did so with ease.
I also love the intricacies of his scale patterns - some of which must have been tedious to do. The colouring is also fantastic, and I can barely tell that its traditional. Sometimes seeing an artists brush/marker/pencil strokes makes the picture feel even more real.
In summary, this is just plain awesome. How about that? ^.=.^
