Udo Jürgens - Vielen Dank Für Die Blumen (karaoke cover)
This song from german chansonnier / songwriter / eurovision song contest winner Udo Jürgens was the opening theme of every classic Tom & Jerry cartoon in german dubbing.
Therefore it was a central staple of my childhood and a tune in every kids ears of the 80ies and early 90s in the "deutscher Sprachraum" - which means the countries where German is spoken - Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The show theme was a shorter version of this with only one chorus and that's it, IIRC.
The title is translates to "Thanks for the compliment(s)", meant sarcastically.
I've tried some funny "voice acting" here.

Haha, I remember this song... of course they cut the first verses of it because romantic advances at the workplace weren't really a good theme for a kids TV show lol.
Pretty good pronounciation on the german vocals as well! You speak German, I presume? That seemed a tad TOO on-point for it being just phonetic.

Thank you. That's all the better.
It also made the anticipation for each Tom & Jerry episode so much bigger and better. :3
I am not sure, whether in Britain or the USA there was anything remotely comparable to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jywqDjDCxAo
