I dislike how the Anime and such makes the Gyarados look wimpy. I looked around and found out that Magikarp, and Gyarados are based on a Chinese legend of how carp jump, and jump, and one day they jump so high, they go through Celestial Gates, and the passing turns them into dragons. Cool huh?
