fairy tail: igneel was killed off horribly....to never be mentioned again....ever.....

overlord: the lizard people....all dead....because, we liked them and the lazy plot needed lazy drama.

and, yes, character deaths are good, when done right. mufasa's death, lemonon's first death on digimon adventure. but anime does it with anthros, just to make human characters look stronger, or add a cheap boost of drama if ratings are low...

ANYWAY....sorry for the rant, THE PIC IS AMAZING AS ALL YOUR WORK IS.

Oh you mean Igniel. That´s right. I simple haven´t rated him as an anthro (I rate dragons often as a separate class for myself^^;)
There you are right. As for Igniel I suspected him to day allready in a very early chapter, for he is the father figure of Natsu and the rules of shonen dictate that the father figure must step aside or die to give the youthful hero the possibility to become mature. Still a tradition from ancient greek tragedy drama though...

I agree, if the character death fit into the story and is good for character development... but to show human supremecy over beastfolk is racist behaviour in my oppinion

Correction : they didn't kill all the lizard people in Overlord

After the Lizards fought back the initial attack of the undead, Ains forced them to agree to an honorable duel between their greatest heroes aka the Lizard protagonists and Ains' General Cocytus. Refusal would have meant utter destruction so the lizards agreed.

The duel happened and Cocytus killed all of the heroes. According to the terms of the duel, the lizards then submitted to Ains' rule with Cocytus acting as governor.

Later, Ains resurrected the fallen Lizard heroes bringing them fully back to life and not turn them undead and Cocytus, impressed by their fighting spirit during the duel, made them his lieutenants

I've always loved the "lady saves the hero" trope in these situations. I think it's the irony of it that I enjoy. Normally the woman would be a damsel waiting for a strong man to save her, but now the strong man is the one in peril and is being saved by the one he would normally be rescuing.

I like to balance the two tropes in my stories. There are damsels in disstress as well as dudes. As long as there are strong emotions for each other, such scenarios can make them even more intense^^

Yaaaaay!!! I am so glad that they death sentence was canceled x3!! This means they gonna live to go in more bound adventures 8D!!! Just a shame though that we coudin't see them already noosed over the trapdoor xD! It's exciting to see them there bound, gagged and noosed on the trapdoor, but escaping on the last second XD! Fafnir does look so damn nice with that open shirt showing his big chest and neck x3!! And he seems so relief XD! And the unicorn guy is also very nice x3!!

The pirate setting is very amazing x3! Almost as good as the cowboys ones 8D!! I definitely wanna see more of them on those scenarios x3!!! Very amazing picture, Lord Eternal OwO/!

The moment he hears the word of "set them free" he felt a load as heavy as a mountain lifted from his shoulders - along with the noose removed from his neck. Fafnir really loves his crew and he felt terrible about the fact that they all could have been hung to death now if things went the other way...

I thought I should draw the moment were the pirates are pardoned, since the previous pics to introduce them were showing the moments before hanging or the waiting for the trapdoor to fall. Indeed there should be more happy ending pics. They can be easily done if one knows how to do them^^

Nontheless it is not only a feature in Das letzte Einhorn - the last Unicorn, it was a common fact about european Unicorns that they only can be seen by those who truely believe in them or by pure hearted maidens. And those were the only ones allowed to touch them. There are some medieval pictures of Unicors resting their heads on the lap of a pure hearted maiden. Furthermore it was only able to tame them if one harnessed them with an iron chain. Unicors just as western elves and fairies hated the presence of iron.

Speaking of The Last Unicorn, it might interest you to know that the same man voiced King Haggard in both the English and German dubs: the late Sir Christopher Lee.

Yes I know that Christopher Lee voiced both the german and english version of King Haggard. He was able to speak german allmost without any accent.

If my dragon character Fafnir would have been an animated figure. His voice would be my choice for him

Well, I like to think that he got hugged eventually.

It's good to see the moment when they finally did get their pardon and reprive from the gallows, though of course even as privateers it's not to say that they wouldn't find themselves in perilous situations again though hopefully any ropes involved would be strictly to tie them up with and not in the form of nooses around their necks. Though given that they would still have such enemies as Marquis Fortigan, Captain Hildebrandt and our Parasaurolophus captain I don't think Fafnir would be resting easy and he'd know they may face such a day again and can't always count on a last minute reprieve.

Parcival at least looks like he'll quickly recover from the trauma of this situation with the attention of the ladies, though you have to feel sorry for the poor dog being pushed aside in favour of him. Fafnir from his expression I think is just relieved to be alive though it would be funny to think he's trying not to show any jealously that the ladies are all over the unicorn and forgetting the ruggedly handsome dragon right next to him.

Hehe indeed, this will not be the last close encounter of life threatening situations for our pirates here.

But for the time being they are just too happy to be alive. And on top of it. This is one of the "blessings" of a pirats life: Because of the fact it is allways in danger, they live everyday to the fullest, because each day could turn out to be the last one
