Me too, in the original story the wolf was never indentified by gender yet people have somehow agreed it was a male. But I think a female wolf makes more sense.
And I'm curious to see what this is leading to :D

The origional story he was male. The dark, gruesome one where the wolf just ate her xD

...

But the modern renditions, yeah, it does make much more sense! I kind of want to see this big bad wolf in a story now :D

Well fair enough, but in the story I grew up reading, the wolf was never idtentified by gender, and I personally think it makes more sense for it to be female.

Frankly I've wanted to read a gender flipped version of Red Riding Hood in general. But sadly I have not found any.

I sort of came up with a gender flip of the big bad wolf myself. Only I made her anthro and have her smoking a cigar.
