This time we have Julie-Su and Mighty attempting to slow down Bark the Polar Bear after he has already subdued Princess Sally.
I knew from the beginning stages that this image would feature a co-mingling of powerful special effects. Creating an image where all those effects didn’t over-power or pull to much focus from the characters was difficult. I tried to stay away from my usual brighter spectrum, just to ensure no one effect seemed too featured over another. Success when facing problems like this are gained in the planning phase, so all the mental work I put in before I put digital pen to paper really paid off for me.
It’s been a good minute since I have drawn my girl J-Su. Once I was told she would be firing her weapon in this image, I already knew she was going to be scoring a headshot. Mighty is fun to draw as always and Bark’s inner ferocity really shines through here. I wont lie to ya, I was channeling a little Broly from DBZ to get this image framed in my head.
