I like her as villain but this only because this will make her eventual defeat much more satisfying and perhaps with an interesting character arc, I doubt she will become the Vegeta of the situation(I think Kalita will fill the bill)but who know.

Interesting choice for Nyarai to try to lift Adel to her feet. Using her superior speed to build the necessary momentum to lift the giant Combagal may be possible, but it's a risky tactic against such a huge and experienced adversary.

I think she want to make Adel trip and fall, to have her pinned on the floor, an advantage, too bad Adelgund is probably preared for that. Remember SHE know she is big and that if pinned down her advantage will be lost, so she expect such move on the ring, dilike Muko this IS not Adelgund's first rodeo. And this will be harsh lesson for our beloed(to hate) angry kitten.

Going for the leg would be a wise idea given the difference in height...but something about Adelgund's stance signals that she's well aware of this.

Nyarai does have a good sense of speed and has crazy acrobatics,. But Adel has the taller of the two and more massive, built like a Mac truck. And both are highly skilled in fighting. I'd really like to see what Adef has in store for that psycho traitor.

well my observation of Adelgund comes more from a storytelling perspective. It would be odd for Adelgund to have that expression only to be 'surprised' by a full frontal attack - DaiGaijin's earned my trust in knowing what he's doing. It'd be subversive in a way that would not be satisfying to the audience. It'd be like a villain giving a smirk as he suffers an attack, and not having a super well thought out counter the hero's strategy. We understand the smirk is an 'oh shit he knew this was coming moment'. Same with Adelgund - the face forebodes poorly for Nyarai at least for the next page or two.

But yes, Nyarai has speed, flexibility, and technique on her side. Adel has power and probably experience I would guess? Overwhelming power does make a huge difference, though I question what sort of card Dai is gonna play on either side - probably sneak attack by Peki.

Indeed, I can read what is going on in Adel's face, too. She's very serious with Nyaraisince the last two pages and is watching and alert with the cat leaping towards her to her feet. That dog ain't going to take crap with that little evil monster for sure.
