This picture is the first of a two-part prequel to a commission Cooner made for me last year. Kenzie is assisting the forces of good with trying to defeat the acolytes of the Great Old One, Cthulhu, from H.P. Lovecraft's classic tale (credit for character goes to him). He and his allies think they have things in hand, but events have accelerated and Kenzie finds himself on America's west coast, trapped in a city Cthulhu is now attacking. Can he save the world from the mind-bending monster? And what is this strange wonder food that may be the key to stopping Cthulhu? You'll have to wait and find out!
P.S. There is another source I will credit when the second part of the prequel is posted, but it will give it away if I credit it now. As for the last frame, I like to think Popeye's fanfare would play as the action plays out! That should give you a clue as to what happens next.
