I always knew of Soviet Jungle Book adaptation, and how that Mowgli is much more appropriate for kink art, given that he actually grows to maturity - but even I only noticed how much of an absolute hunk he is when I actually started this picture. Bronze skin, long anime hair, hairless bodybuilder-pornstar bod, it is as if he was made for this.
For context, the final sentences of the Mowgli chapters of the actual Jungle Book say that after being refused by both the Wolf-Pack and Man-Pack, Mowgli left to live on his own in the jungle, with the four wolf siblings we was brought up with, "...but he was not always alone, because, years afterward, he became a man and married. But that is a story for grown-ups."
Well.
"Married" is a malleable term, and my art is definitely for grown-ups, so...
Time for some post-action where-they-are-now slashfiction~

You can find the adult Mowgli stories here:

Since they are longish short stories that were published in magazines at the time, you might have seen them in various collections but not known they were a part of Rudyard Kipling's specific sequels.
The King's Ankus is an adventuresome story often reprinted, and in these later days Kaa does indeed become Mowgli's final jungle teacher.
I have been re-reading The Jungle Book proper, and Kaa always had certain fondness, and later respect, toward the manling. Perhaps he was too old for *this* kind of affection in the canon - but Disney's Kaa certainly wasn't. I am planning to effectively merge the two characters~
