This is a character I've rolled up for my friend's campaign, using my own D&D furry-centric world, Inheritance.
Alice's gender, race, class (Apostle - a custom pre-Cleric class that worships obscure demigods, and is a hybrid-caster class as a result), and even demigod worshipped were all rolled randomly. In this case, Anapha, the Black Dog, Collector of Souls - an echo of our world's Anubis.
Alice's backstory:
Alice was one of a half dozen siblings in a relatively poor family of Lament living within the foothills of the Giant's March mountains, within the Empire Dorthonnic.
At age 3, she slipped and fell off a gondola dock into a fishing pond well away from her family, who were picnicking out of view of the docks. Though she'd been a fearful child, for some reason the water seemed to cradle her, and she watched with mild interest as the sun drifted higher in the murky water above her, dimming as it went.
It was amidst the murk and the tadpoles nuzzling her tiny furry body that she saw Anapha, in feral jackal form, black with gold and lapis jewelry, padding in a circle around her through the water as if it were dry land. As he circled closer, he said, kindly enough, "I am Anapha, but it seems you are not ready to be judged. Your brother comes. Look up, see how he eclipses the Sun Goddess? He comes for you."
Ever since that day, as a child, she's researched the name she heard, and eventually, at the still young age of 5, she uncovered an ancient human tome in the tunnels behind her home, in an ancient human tongue, stamped in electrum. Since then she has had the volume translated and learned everything she can about this long forgotten deity of the distant south, from where Thulenon lies now, and from over the sea, along the Flaskin coast of Pracheen Desh.
She has become the herald of this lost jackal god, the Black Dog, Collector of Souls, judge of all the beings that have lived, and will ever live in this world. She has become an Apostle of Anapha.
