18-year-old Matilda was born and raised in Manila, where she grew up with a love of everything about the ocean, and especially the stories of those who travelled it. Since childhood, she's had a pirate persona she enjoys playing as called Captain Honey, and when she decided to join the IAWF, which she'd become a fan of in her preteen years, she brought Captain Honey with her. Now she gets to use the persona more than ever, sharing her with the world and even being paid for doing so, the sweet young bee dressing up in a sexy pirate queen outfit and putting on bold and somewhat arrogant behaviour. She also uses her new career to promote her father's business, Mr. Khan's Dockside Delights, a small snack shack built into an old boat and permanently set up at a dock near her home. She's long supported it in any way she can, even contributing her own honey, which is used in some of the cakes and drinks made and sold there.
