I dunno why normally-nude-or-pantsless cartoon characters often wear swimsuits at the beach. Someone once suggested that normally their fur covers up their naughty bits, but when their fur gets wet it can't anymore. Hence, swimsuits. (This may also explain why Hamton wears overalls; no fur at all.)
