Sitting securely in the saddle Steeran brought his heels together and gently spurred his new mount forward. The furkima didn’t move except to toss his head and try to rear up, however not being used to the weight on his back he wasn’t very successful.
“If you pull on that chain and cause him any unnecessary pain you’ll receive a beating you won’t forget!” He told the drakan holding the nose chain, more was obediently let out.
Bringing his heels once more together and a gentle tap on the rear flank with his whip caused his mount to give a jerk and take a few steps forward then stop. He repeated the process, after a while he soon he had him starting and stopping obediently.
This one was a quick learner he thought to himself as he spurred him into a trot, the slave jogging alongside.
