This was one of the last songs, but not THE last song, I wrote before I left Job Corps. Not much to say about it, except I had the powerful need to write something slow, haunting, and dark. Enjoy!
Edit: That's not right at all! I made this song with
Darkside-the-Orca in mind. Sorry about that!

Ah! I KNOW I have my description for that I gave you for this somewhere! But I think I may have deleted that email when clearing out my "sent folder"... nuts! I heard this song before you posted it... I have proof too because I saved it to my playlist on my computer, haha, before posting this 6 hours ago. Anyway, I gave you that description... although you, I believe, changed the name of the song… I have the song saved as "Drifting Through the Abyss" Perhaps you can check your email and see if you still have my description? You sent it on 3/27/09. ^_^ It'll be great if you still have it, but if you don't, it's all right.
Awww... with lil' ol' me in mind! Aren'tcha sweet? Hehe. Thanks for getting the description! I shall post it here now!
Great job, good composing! There I go kissing ya butt again, haha. But seriously, I felt relaxed and calm while listening to it. My visual images are different from your other songs and not as detailed, this does not mean a bad thing at all, the song is still wonderfully composed and I enjoyed the ambiance, bass tones and the electric piano, I think that's what it was... okay to the image it's a bit more abstract this time around:
My mind, I think, did a play on the title, I envision Jaiko dropping through slowly, well basically nothingness - total blackness except for a single spot line following him. With each bass is "plucked" large strings of a bass guitar appear in the darkness as Jaiko continues to fall slowly, oddly peacefully falling. As the string is plucked to make the bass the vibration "lines" is seen in the air. Then as the electric piano beings to play and every other time it is played huge warped and wavy disconnected keyboards appear in the blackness, two in fact, one on each side of Jaiko and begins to play in unison with the song's melody. Whenever the piano stops or bass the images disappear. Then at about 1:12 when the higher pitched guitar (or electric piano), I think, comes in Jaiko peacefully and gracefully touches down on an invisible solid surface in the blackness of the abyss. Looks around slowly, eyes almost glowing. He takes a few steps on this solid surface as the guitar strings and keyboards still appear and disappear when they play. Then at 2:33 when the piano comes in heavily the keys appear below Jaiko's feet, each key lights up as it is played, almost becoming a path through the darkness for Jaiko and he follows it, slowly as the song slows down. The song continues the guitar strings and keys continues to appear or light up, respectively and Jaiko follows the keyboard path until it leads to a door floating in the darkness abyss. He smiles and a flash of light comes from his eyes as his claws touch the door knob. Just before the song ends the door automatically opens up and behind the door is pure bright and warm light. Then Jaiko steps through and literally right before the song ends he glances over his shoulder, smiles and the door shuts - song ends. He found his way, he found his way through the darkness, the abyss and drifting no more.
Like the entire "music video" is a metaphor for his life. Drifting through this abyss is how, maybe, Jaiko was feeling - like his life was going no where and he was simply drifting through life and was lost. But eventually we finds a path, a good path and follows it to the end, to a door that opens, like an opportunity in life and steps through to a better situation, a better and bright future.
Viola! There you have it! Yet again, as I have said, great work and composing again! ^_^
