I stopped by the local butterfly garden a while back to snap some photos. While I was there a cocoon opened right before my eyes and this beautiful creature fell out. I was so entranced by the experience that I forgot to take pictures. On the plus side the entomologist working the...er... hatchery? decided to bring the butterfly out and let me get some up close shots. It was wonderful getting some up close shots of a butterfly that had just been reborn into the world less than a minute before.
