This is a New Guinea Singing Dog. It is a subspecies of canis lupis thought to be related to the dingo (though there is controversy over this). They are UKC recognized, but good luck getting them. No one has seen a wild one in years and the captive population is somewhere between one and two hundred. Certain zoos and owners are attempting to keep the breed viable, though, so maybe some day they'll be more available. Their name comes from their ability to modulate their howling... in effect "singing."
