there is a water well and if you drop something in, like an axe
there will be someone asking you if you dropped the axe you dropped, or a solid golden axe.


if you choose the golden axe and lie, you get murdered.

if you choose the normal axe and are honest... you get the axe back AND the golden axe.


so you can repeat this with everything, including rocks to get diamonds and rubies.


but...if at the end of the day, you cannot use all the stuff you have gotten, the tree will absorb you and consume you, untill the next traveler gets absorbed into the tree, and everyone has had a turn to be the person who's at the well.
