For the past few weeks, the kinda plainish, simple design of my fursona has been bugging me. (Hey, I did base it on me, after all. :P ) So I wanted to give ol' Bioxz a bit of a makeover. Already, I like the proto-redesign better, although I am loathe to admit that YES, I did look at a whole bunch of Lion King artwork while I was doing this. I wanted to have a more original style to him, but darn it, already the amateur LK style looks better than what I've been doing these past two years. (And yes, this would mean that I've stopped bing ambivalent about what kind of feline Bioxz is and am now leaning him toward "Lion") xD Still in development, so I guess I;ll add my own original touches as time goes on. Any thoughts, suggestions or criticisms while this is still in progress would be appreciated.
Oh, and meanwhile, I've been working on secondary avatar for meeself that's not (as much) based on me, in that he's ripped, conflident, flirty, and actually makes a decent living for himself. :P Meet JR (Jean-Robert), stats below. Not sure what I'll be doing with him just yet, but probably something fun. (Design also subject to change.

Digging this. Hair looks wilder on Bioxz, and I have to say the muzzle look is good on him. x3 Its a cool evolution.
As for J.R., he's looking hot, and construction is always a bit of a sexy profession. |3 He he, makes me wonder at the visual pun of him holding a SCREWdriver... >3

You caught onto that one pretty quick. :P I figured tools would be a good prop for him, as it'd be good for a joke if ever JR gets his "tools" mixed up and shows up to a job one day, casually brandishes something out of his toolbelt and doesn't realize for the first few seconds that he's been trying to drive a rivet with a vibrator.
And thanks! I do feel about nervous about this new visual direction, but the encouragement I've been getting as been very... uh, encouraging! ^^;

Also I like that he's ears don't look like elf-ears anymore :b
I like what ypu've done with the goatee too, it looks more "real" and less glued on now XP

Also good eye... I used to draw elf-ears ALL the damn time, and incorporated that into the style I had. Dunno what I was thinking. Maybe I was still in love Orlando Bloom at the time.

Hahah well it's mostly the bust next to JR thou. Large eyes compared to the rest fo the face makes him seem young, du to the fact that the eyes actualy never grows, but the face and skull does. So by putting the eyes further away and wide open like that, he seems yonger than when you usualy draw him.
Well since it was Legolas, it's okay, he's hot like that :b

And rest assured, yes, it's Elf Orlando, and not the pirate Orlando. I assume that elves are very well kept and hygienic, whereas pirates are probably covered with scurvy, lice and all sorts of other things that kinda cancel out their piratey, roguish charms.

I dunno... Bioxz's backstory is meant to be my own, and alas, there have been no fun bomb-diffusing incidents in my life. :P Though I guess I COOOOOUUUULLLLDDD embellish it just a wee bit. xD
