Here we have the fabled coconut. If you've been wondering why Mayor Ryan sometimes shows up as a dorky elephant, then here's your explanation!
Every human villager has a set "animal-self," and the coconut is used to access it. So no, this fruit can't just randomly turn you into different animals. Also the transformation is no different than a villager trying on a new outfit, you just simply backflip into a cloud of smoke, and poof! You're an animal now!
