Here's my headcanon about Care Bear pregancy:
Pregnancy in Care Bears last as long as a human, while in a care bear cousin, it lasts a little longer (10.5 months). The female won't be able to use her stare at that time, but still may go on caring missions (the same would most likely apply to cousins), and her appetite is increased.
