Adventuring can be a tough life, especially if one is at it for many decades. Tarvash looks to have found a nice place to relax and put his feet up. Looks as if he's not quite as young and dynamic as he used to be. But he's also bigger, heavier, and still swings those axes with considerable strength. He might not have truly taken a Slayer's vows, but he doubtless fights just as well as one.

He's a bit older in this picture! And while he definitely has bulked up a bit, a lot of it is just the natural growth from a creature that continuously grows throughout its lifespan. I'd imagine he's outgrown his armour and weapons a good few times and had to upgrade to larger equivalents!
And while I'd imagine that he's not a true Slayer: one who has been dishonoured and vowed to die in combat as a form of atonement, he certainly respects their ways enough to imitate their fighting style.
